A quiet specimen facility
STILL が扱うのは、異星で採取されたかのような無機質な鉱物標本——そのように見えるオブジェです。クリアレジンに閉じ込められた色相は、展示室の照明と沈黙のなかでだけ、輪郭を持ちます。
We treat each piece as a mineral specimen from an imaginary survey: inert, indexed, and lit only enough to reveal its edge against the room.
Process
形態の多くは、アルゴリズムによるプロシージャル生成から始まります。パラメータは記録され、反復はログに残る。最終的な表面と輪郭は、物理的な切削と手仕上げによって確定します。デジタルと切削のあいだにある「誤差」こそが、標本としての個性になります。
Forms often begin as procedural noise—parameters versioned, iterations kept—then are fixed by machining and hand finishing. The tolerance between digital and material is the specimen’s fingerprint.
